The cost-of-living crisis, sky-rocketing construction inflation and increased public scrutiny of standards in social housing following the death of Awaab Ishak raises many questions about how we tackle the housing crisis. What are the regulatory and statutory changes needed to stimulate housing supply, tackle the challenge of rising homelessness and create safe, energy efficient homes? What role should public, private and the third sectors play? What are the financial drivers for developers and what impact will they have on supply?
