Room151‘s LGPS Investment Forum is a must-attend, ideas conference for LGPS administering authorities, LGPS pools and advisers. Concise, strategic thinking is the order of the day as delegates hear a wide range of seven minute, high-level presentations interspersed by panel discussions.

Covering the macro-economic agenda, traditional and alternative asset classes, a chief investment officers session and special guest presentations, the conference requires that sponsors and guests alike bring fresh ideas to the table and are prepared to challenge the orthodoxy.

Designed for an audience of administering funds, investment pools, advisers and managers, we curate a high-level, thought-provoking agenda, driven by our advisory board, packed full of strategic investment content. Delegate experience, high-quality content and a balanced group of participants are all carefully managed.

The future for fixed income: inflation, labelled bonds and beyond

The fixed income universe has been subject to many interesting trends lately, not least in light of rapidly rising inflation. However, labelled bonds, particularly green bonds both sovereign and corporate have seen increased interest from the investor community as a way forward towards a greener portfolio. Paris-aligned investing & net-zero roadmaps (Recess 3)

Sister publications Net Zero Investor and Room151 explore LGPS progress towards Paris-aligned investment portfolios and ask what is changing across allocations, engagement and advocacy.

Paris-aligned investing is undoubtedly a key component of a credible net-zero roadmap. With a variety of strategies and offerings in the market, there is no shortage of opportunities in this space.

However, questions remain regarding the specifics. What does a good engagement framework look like? How do you benchmark your investments? What are the best ways to achieve carbon reduction? Which asset classes and strategies are best suited for a Paris-aligned strategy? Is there a trade-off between financial performance and net zero aims?

The roundtable is open to LGPS investment officers from administering authorities and their pools and a write-up will appear on both publications.
