Net Zero Investor’s Renewable Infrastructure Summit 2024

Renewable Infrastructure Summit for asset owners

The International Energy Agency’s recent forecast anticipates that renewables will become the largest source of global electricity generation by early 2025, surpassing coal.

Demand created by policy initiatives in China, the US and the EU will help stimulate an 85% acceleration in global renewables capacity when compared to the previous five years.

The infrastructure required to keep pace with mushrooming supply and demand is creating myriad opportunities for investors across the renewables ecosystem, with investors competing to own a stake in the assets which will underpin energy production for future generations.

Roundtable format

This summit style roundtable is an interactive meeting for a limited number of asset owners from different backgrounds with experience of, or plans for, allocating assets to renewable infrastructure.

A series of short presentations and asset owner testimony will kick-start a conversation between participants and market practitioners covering the macro opportunity aswell as specific opportunities and risks.

Registration is only open to qualifying asset owners who will be invited to either join the discussion as active participants or simply observe if their objectives are purely educational/ knowledge gathering.

The summit/roundtable lasts for two hours in total and is followed by networking drinks.

More on the content of the discussion

The devil as always will be in the detail and capital allocators have decisions to make about who they partner with and why, as well as what they can invest in; with wind, solar, hydro, energy efficiency, energy storage, geothermal and biomass all vying for infrastructure development.

Is accessing renewable infrastructure through listed securities appropriate or are the private markets or debt routes better suited to your needs? What are the opportunities in emerging markets, and can these opportunities also tie in with the UK levelling-up agenda?

What and where are the best opportunities and how do you weigh up the risks in comparison to other investment options?

Net Zero Investor and Room151 is brining together a select group of institutional investors from varied backgrounds to explore all of this and more.
