Olly is a senior economist working in the Institute for Government’s public finances team. His current projects focus on the cost of living crisis, energy policy, and the role of the Treasury.
Before joining the Institute, Olly worked in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy where he researched UK growth, productivity and investment. Before that he worked on forecasting, econometrics, and macroeconomic strategy within the Economics Group at HM Treasury. He holds a BSc in Political Economy and an MSc in Behavioural and Experimental Economics.
