Julian has over 20 years’ experience in local government finance, having begun his career at Hull City Council in 2001 where he undertook CIPFA professional training. He joined East Riding of Yorkshire Council as Finance Manager in 2009 and was appointed to his current role as Director of Finance in 2015. Julian also holds responsibility for the East Riding Pension Fund on behalf of 324 employers and over 125,000 scheme members, and he is a director of SWAP Internal Audit Partnership. His specialisms include financial planning and strategy, financial reporting, technical accounting, and financial systems.
