John has 30 years’ experience in the UK commercial property market having invested and managed portfolios for major private and public sector pension funds. His experience includes investment strategy, deployment, asset management, development, refurbishment and joint ventures.
John became Fund Manager of the UK direct property portfolio of Lancashire County Pension Fund in 2010 and set up a similar strategy for London Pension Fund Authority in 2016. He worked on the pooling of these two portfolios into an Authorised Contractual Scheme to create the direct UK portfolio of Local Pensions Partnership Investments Real Estate Fund in 2019. All three portfolios have consistently out-performed their return targets.
Between 2015 and 2019 John committed approximately £140m in a local investment strategy for Lancashire County Pension Fund and has recently started a similar mandate for the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund.
