Beatriz leads TNC’s engagement and partnerships with Europe’s private, multilateral and bilateral finance institutions and industry-led initiatives to mainstream climate and nature in finance and investment decisions. She works with colleagues across TNC and NatureVest, TNC’s impact investment unit, to drive financial innovation and blended-finance investment opportunities that deliver climate and biodiversity impacts alongside financial returns.
Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, she was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan responsible for the bank’s business with governments and multilateral institutions in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa, a sovereign analyst at Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings, and an economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Beatriz holds a PhD in Economics from the University Autonoma of Barcelona, Spain.
