Danny is the Co-founder of Colesco and Chief Investment Officer of Colesco. He is the chairman of the Managing Board and the Investment Committee.

Within Colesco, Danny’s primary deal focus lies with the UK based PE sponsor community and at a firm level investment management oversight, executive HR, general management, compliance, legal, and risk management.

Danny has over 24 years of experience in debt origination and execution. Prior to establishing Colesco, he was Global Head of Leveraged Finance and Sponsor Origination at Rabobank. He held several other notable positions at Rabobank such as Head of Sponsor Origination, Head of Leveraged Finance Origination (Europe), and executive director positions involving execution of leveraged finance transactions and coverage of large cap companies. Danny started his career as a strategy consultant in the Rabobank Group Strategy and E-commerce teams.

Danny holds an Executive MBA from IMD and a MSc in International Finance from University of Amsterdam.

Elizabeth serves as Independent Investment Advisor to the Bedfordshire Pension Fund and as an Independent Research Analyst for the Greater Gwent (Torfaen) Pension Fund.   She brings a background in banking, capital markets and corporate finance to her work in investment management and portfolio analysis.  With pooling, she finds increasing commonalities between corporate finance and managing LGPS fund assets, particularly in the areas of governance, oversight, accountability and responsible investment / ESG. 

Elizabeth began her career at Lehman Brothers in New York and moved to London in the late-1990s.  Subsequently she worked at Goldman Sachs International and GE Capital, where she did M&A for its European commercial finance business.

Elizabeth is a governor of two state secondary schools in London, both of which are LGPS employers.  As chair of the Finance & Premises committee for one, she tends to regard management of LGPS funds from an employer /employee’s viewpoint as well as that of an investment professional.

Elizabeth graduated from Yale University with a BA in Comparative Literature (German and French).

Richard spent his main career in Local Government, working in 8 Local Authorities in London and the South East. Richard became Chief Executive and Director of Finance at the London Borough of Richmond in 1988 and became Managing Director of London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in 1999. He left there in 2002 to commence his own consultancy business.

Richard was on the Council of Cipfa (16 years) and remains on the Council of IRRV (30 years).

He lectures and writes widely on Local Government issues, mainly on Management and Finance.

Since commencing his own business he has been Interim Director of Finance and Chief Executive for a number of authorities of all sizes and the National Union of Students. He has worked for 5 Government Departments and carried out a range of Investigations and Inquiries.

He was recently Executive Director Finance and Resources for a Children’s Services and Education Company .

Richard is a past president of the Society of London Treasurers, Society of Metropolitan Treasurers and Institute of Rating Revenues and Valuation. He made a return for a second term  as President of IRRV  in 2014.

Karin joined Colesco in 2023 as Responsible Investment Officer. She is a member of the Investment Committee.

Within Colesco, Karin is responsible for the development and implementation of Colesco’s firmwide Responsible Investment Framework.

Karin has over 17 years of experience in investment management and advisory with a focus on risk & sustainability. Prior to joining Colesco, Karin was a partner at the Cardano Group, focusing on sustainability and client advisory. She also held several other positions such as Head of Integration and Migration, Fixed Income Trader and gave strategic risk advice to pension funds. Karin started her career as Quantitative Credit Analyst at IMC asset management.

Karin holds a MSc in Applied Physics, and a MSc in Risk Management from Delft University of Technology and VU Amsterdam respectively. She is also a CFA Institute charter holder.

Ms. Medema is an executive vice president and alternative credit strategist in the London office, responsible for credit alternatives and mortgage- and real-estate-related strategies. Previously, she worked in the portfolio management group and focused on mortgage-backed securities and residential whole loans. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2006, she worked at Deutsche Bank’s Trust & Securities Services Division, specializing in collateralized debt obligations (CDOs). She has 21 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Ms. Caro is an executive vice president and head of U.K. and Ireland institutional client service. Previously, she was an account manager on the EMEA global wealth management team, focused on financial institutions and sub-advised relationships. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, she worked in the investment management division at Goldman Sachs in London and Madrid. She has 16 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School as well as an undergraduate degree from King’s College London.
