I thought this was a top quality conference. The subjects were well chosen. The participants were overall excellent. The audience was engaged and the quality of the questions was excellent. Nico was a brilliant chair, completely on top of his subject and with tremendous intellectual rigour and flexibility. Top marks!

trustee director, The People’s Pension

Yet again this is a standout conference on the DC calendar for me. It tackles the key investment issues and themes head on in an engaging and open environment.

head of client platforms, LGIM

Excellent. Quality of speakers was great as were the networking opportunities – especially the post conference drinks.

2030 – achieving interim targets & recalibrating action plans for net zero

Transition plans have been drawn up, targets have been set and for many investors 2030 or 2035 interim targets are now fast approaching. So what will the action plan look like to meet those targets? Are they realistic? To what extent will these have been reached (or not) by intentional changes rather than a changing economic environment tilting away from a carbon-heavy index? Finally, how will this impact asset allocations and is a recalibration of net zero transition plans necessary?

Managing net zero in index-linked strategies – impact and return

Index-linked strategies are increasingly targeting in-built carbon reduction, but can they accurately capture transition risks and emerging physical risks as a result of climate change? How do you avoid concentration risk in low-carbon sectors instead of maintaining exposure to decarbonising companies?

Accessing private markets net zero opportunities – LTAFs and beyond

Private markets continue to be a key opportunity for net zero investments and with deal flows becoming ever more diverse across infrastructure, timberland, private equity and debt the momentum is on. Yet, questions remain on how to best access these opportunities, integration into default funds, and governance of private markets assets. Are LTAFs the best option or does the answer lie elsewhere?
