Andrew Teacher is a transformative figure in the UK’s real estate landscape, with a deep industry knowledge and a strong strategic thinking. Through his work for the BPF and IPD, and his previous advisory company, Blackstock, Andrew played a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s institutional residential sectors, notably PBSA, BTR and later living, through his work with early investors such as M3 Capital, M&G, and L&G and his work launching and growing platforms like Moda Living and Apache and Goodstone with Macquarie. His influence extends to the life sciences asset class, where he has worked alongside industry leaders like Blackstone, Harrison Street, and BGO with their respective platforms. After selling Blackstock, he co-founded Lauder Teacher with former investment banker Colm Lauder. The company fills the void between strategic communications and investment banking, working alongside banks, law firms and PR agencies to help clients better engage with investors, leveraging the duo’s lived experience in the sector, their technical knowledge, and global networks. Andrew’s expertise spans a wide range of major clients, from the likes of Cadogan, and the Church Commissioners, to TDR Capital, Fiera Capital, Hermes, BAA and John Lewis Partnership. As the host of the industry’s most-listened-to podcast – Propcast, in collaboration with Property Week, he’s established himself as a leading voice in real estate.
