Julie is a Senior Advisor to Systemiq’s Urban platform as well as a Special Advisor to CBRE UK’s ESG Consulting team. She has 25 years of experience in sustainable property and construction across Executive and Non-Executive, private, public and third sector roles. She is currently a non-executive director at both Willmott Dixon Holdings Ltd and Thriving Investments Ltd, and until June 2023 was the Chief Executive of the UK Green Building Council. During her tenure, the UKGBC evolved from a small environmental NGO to a substantial and renowned organisation with 750 members, and a strong important voice across the UK built environment sector. Prior to the UKGBC, Julie was the UK Head of Sustainability at JLL, and before this she co-founded and led a strategic sustainability consulting practice specifically for real estate investors and developers.
